Contemporary Jewish Museum

This is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco. This fascinating building was designed by Daniel Libeskind in 1998.

"The museum is a 63,000-square-foot facility, which exhibits contemporary art and historical objects, film and music, conversations, lectures, literary readings, and other live performance.

The Museum officially opened the doors to its new building on June 8, 2008 with a community-wide celebration." - http://www.thecjm.org/

  1. Fascinating building; great choice. Daniel Libeskind also designed the Jewish museum in Berlin.

  2. The building certainly makes a statement. I'm wondering about the exhibits; sounds enticing. The first photo makes it look like the whole building is precariously perched and might totter right over if someone steps the wrong way inside.

  3. Fascinating seems to be the best way to describe this building! Also love the way you show the close-ups of the individual windows.

  8. That was quite a building! It must make you a bit dizzy walking inside there. Like in amusement park.
